Data Protection Declaration
The use of our website is usually possible without having to provide personal data. When personal data are recorded on our website (for example your name, address or e-mail address), this is done, as far as this is possible, on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express agreement.
We must point out that the transfer of data over the internet (e.g. communication per e-mail) can have gaps in security. An absolute protection of data against being accessed from third parties is not possible.
The right to use contact data disclosed within the framework of the legal notice obligation to third parties in order to send advertising and information materials which have not been expressly requested is herewith contradicted. The operators of the website expressly reserve the right to legal action in the event of the sending of non-requested advertising information, for example, in the form of spam mails.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called ‘server log files’ that your browser automatically transmits to us. This information comprises:
- Browser type and browser version
- The operating system used
- Referrer URL
- The host name of the accessing computer
- The time of the server request
These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. These data will not be combined with data from other sources. We reserve the right to retrospectively check these data if we become aware of specific evidence of illegal use.
This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect transmission of confidential content, such as the enquiries you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection in your browser’s address line when it changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’, and by the lock icon showing in your browser line.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we will store your data from the request form, together with the contact details that you have provided, to help answer your enquiry and in the event of any follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web-analysis service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are saved on your computer and which make it possible to carry out an analysis of how the website is used. The information generated by the cookie on how you use this website are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In the event of an activation of the IP-anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other countries of the European Economic Area that have signed the agreement.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent collection of your data on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics
Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate the use of this website, in order to draft reports on website activities and in order to provide the website operator with further services associated with the use of the website and internet. Your browser's IP address that is transferred within the framework of Google Analytics will not be saved together with other data by Google.
You can prevent the saving of the cookie by configuring your browser software accordingly: we would like to point out however that in this case, it is possible that you will not be able to use all functions of this website in their entirety. In addition to that, you can also prevent the recording and use of the website related data created by the cookie (incl. IP-address) by Google as well as the processing of the data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in found under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Contract data processing
We have entered into a contract with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic characteristics by Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics’ ‘demographic characteristics’. This allows reports to be generated containing information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. These data come from interest-based advertising by Google and from third-party visitor data. These collected data cannot be ascribed to any specific person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account, or you can prohibit collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section ‘Objection to data collection.’
Right to information, deletion, blocking
You have the right at all times to receive, free of charge, information relating to the personal data stored about you, the origin and recipients of the data, and the purposes for which the data are used, as well as a right to correct, block or delete these data. If you have any further questions regarding personal data, you are welcome to contact us at any time using the address given in the Publisher’s details here.
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the features of Google Analytics Remarketing combined with the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider of this service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This feature makes it possible to link target audiences for promotional marketing created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This allows interest-based and personalised promotional messaging, identified via your previous usage and surfing behaviour from one device (e.g. mobile phone) to be displayed on other devices as well (such as tablet or computer).
Once you have given your consent, Google will associate your web and app browsing history with your Google account for this purpose. That way, any device that signs in to your Google account will display the same personalised promotional messaging.
To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of users that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create target audiences for cross-device ad promotion.
You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by turning off personalised advertising in your Google account; to do this, follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
Aggregation of the data collected in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you may give or withdraw from Google (per Art. 6 (1) a of the General Data Protection Regulation). For data-collection operations not merged into your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merger of data), data collection is based on Art. 6 (1) f of the General Data Protection Regulation. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator seeks anonymised analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (‘Google’).
As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called ‘conversion tracking’. If you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can tell that the user has clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked using the websites of AdWords advertisers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted into conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, advertisers do not obtain any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out of this by easily changing your browser’s user settings to disable the Google Conversion Tracking cookie. In doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of ‘conversion cookies’ is based on Art. 6 (1) f of the General Data Protection Regulation. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.
